My Journey
Everything in my creative life begins with a pencil.
Drawing is the foundation I return to again and again — the first language through which I learned to see, to understand form, and to translate the world into lines, shapes, and movement.
My formal artistic path began in ceramics, where I learned to think in three dimensions and to respect the discipline of craft.
Working with clay taught me structure, and the importance of planning, composing and thinking in projects — lessons that continue to shape my approach to every medium I use. For years, I practised as a ceramic artist, exploring form, surface, and the expressive possibilities of three-dimensional composition.
From there, my work expanded into editorial illustration. This period sharpened my visual storytelling and reconnected me to drawing as a daily practice, a way of thinking and observing.
After my Graphic Design Qualification, my artistic voice matured, and I moved to watercolour, acrylic, and soft pastels, allowing me to explore colour, atmosphere, and gesture with greater freedom. Watercolour brought fluidity and spontaneity; acrylic offered structure and boldness; soft pastels gave me immediacy and tactile richness.
I am a London-based artist, creating art in the charming leafy neighbourhood of Bushy Park. My practice is a synthesis of my artistic journey, whether I’m capturing the human figure, exploring abstraction, or studying everyday forms.
In winter 2025, I co-founded the London Social Easel group with Fritha, a friend and fellow artist residing in Richmond. Our goal was to organise regular indoor and outdoor drawing and painting meetups throughout West London. These joyful, free events provided artists with a chance to gather and create during the cold season, and they continue to thrive today.
